... we threw some sweet potatoes in. After about 10 minutes we pulled the potatoes out, peeled them, and had a tasty snack! It was very interesting the whole situation, and alot of fun. After this they took us to a Buddhist temple just outside Xintian. They taught us how to bow to Buddha, and we walked around the area a bit. Quite an amazing experience, and they couldn't speak any English!
We took a trip to Changsha last weekend. It is the ...
Nov, 20th was my 23rd birthday. I am aging well, but I am seven years from thirty!! It is crazy!!
Anyway, I (with some help from friend) booked a suite at the HuaTian (5-star) Hotel. It was incredible. About 15 people from all over Hunan came for the celebration and it was swell.
This month my buddies (Team Sharks) and I participated in No-Shave-November ...
Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, China henna80... game tomorrow. She is an English major, a senior and very talented.
I was able to watch Zhong Bin and Le Tian, today. They are both non- English major juniors and they are very bright.

I have finally returned from a well needed break. The last nine days, I have been in Changsha and Shanghai. I went to Changsha for two nights and then Shanghai for seven. It has been a good adventure.
I went to Changsha to celebrate National Day with all of my fellow teachers. It was a huge day for the PRC and Changsha was wild.
Besides partying with everyone, not much was done.
Here are the few pictures from the nights in Changsha.
... off, they just forgot to tell us about it though. Today I created a video slideshow of some of my adventures and interesting things I've seen in China. When you watch the video, click the other side of the mouse over the video and you can make it fullscreen, just go the zoom option. Hope you guys enjoy.
... was truly great or that no one has had Italian food in over a month. After-wards everyone went out to the bars. Today I didn't get up until 12 and then for the rest of the day I watched the TV series West Wing on my computer. I haven't had a day like that in a while and it was amazing.
Well it's been a long time since I've wrote a new entry and I apologize (as it was part-business but also part-laziness!) so I will write an extra long blog to make up for it! Things have been pretty busy here but as the students are having exams today and yesterday me and Sam have just been given three days off (bad for the students, good for us!). We're not travelling elsewhere however as Sam has just got back from a rather trying trip to Hong Kong so I think he just wants ...
Jianghua, China anna_law... maybe turbulence is different in the US, haha. Oh and the safety video was Anime, which I thought was cute. When I got to the airport I grabbed my bag. Oh and I have to mention that I went to the bathroom, because there was a western toilet, and I was really excited! Haha. Then I went outside to grab a taxi. A guy basically ambushed me as I walked out and said 'taxi?' and I said yes so I followed him. I showed him I wanted to go to the Port, and Ship, both written in Chinese ...
