I simply can't begin to express the feeling you get as you see the wall for the first time. I'm not sure I've ever felt more at peace, more alive, and more confident that I am beginning a whole new chapter in my life. The fact that nobody else was there made the experience that much more surreal. I spent the whole morning exploring the wall and enjoying the breathtaking views from the top before heading back down.

We arrived in Beijing on Friday morning after an overnight train ride from Xian. Rather than bringing us to our hotel, the taxi driver tried to drop us off at a tv station...guess we could've made the morning news haha. We eventually found a suitable place with internet, although the toilet was broken and the sink and shower water came out brown. Other than that it was perfectly adequate.

One of my favorite things that I have looked forward everyday while Felicity and I have been in Beijing for the past 4 days has been riding the subways because there is always something that seems to happen to us and depending on the time of time of day and the line, entering and exiting the subway becomes a game of football trying to make sure you can enter and exit at your appropriate destination.
