... it's a protected bay) and platforms to sun on and jump off of. Every hour or so a woman would come on a loud speaker to remind everyone smoking was not allowed in 3 languages. Before I left I checked out the beach stores and was amused by the flag towels and 101 Dalmatians pool floats. The snack shops sold chips and soda and a few even sold hamburgers and hotdogs next to their curry fish balls and stick food. I successfully conquered the bus ride ...

We had a good night's sleep and found it hard to get going in the morning, despite the lovely sunny weather. We planned to use the two weekdays to go places that would be busier at the weekend and chose to go to Lamma Island today. It's always been one of our favourite spots to visit since Philippa took us there in the days she was working in Hong Kong.

We walked down to the Star Ferry terminal and caught a ferry across to the island - completing another must ...

... m making a comparison by drawing from my firsthand experiences. Deal with it.

Efficiency in the U.S. is awesome

This is a situation that drastically changes depending on what you're discussing. The judicial system in the U.S.? Has to be one of the least efficient in the world. But for the most part, businesses and services are relatively reliable, dependent, and quick.

This is not the case in China. In my experience, this can be applied to lots ...
