... shell and closer to the audience in order to stop the sound from becoming too boomy. With plenty of time to rehearse this afternoon we felt comfortable by performance time and did the best concert of the tour to date.

We met the NZ Consulate General briefly after the concert and she spoke very kindly of our performance and was clearly proud to have representatives of New Zealand in her adopted city.

... a concert this evening in one of the Opera House studio theatres. The band were in the audience and it was fantastic to see them perform from in front rather than from behind! Their programme was a fabulous mix of performance, audience interaction and demonstrations of Maori Culture. (See photos).

In the photos you will see a picture of an angry taxi driver. On 10 occasions today groups of us have been refused rides in cabs back to our hotel ...

traffic laws in general are non-existent to begin with and crossing the road is
like navigating a mind field. You need both eyes open.

... I say garden in a broad sense meaning the landscape surrounding this establishment was simply breath taking. I was told the garden itself was famous for its peach trees, to which I did not see any, but peach tree or no, that still did not take away from the garden’s artistry.

... Nanhai Primary Experimental School, is a private school, and one of the nicest in all of Foshan. There are four to five main buildings on campus, one of which is a dorm, and they are architecturally set up so that the space between them make for an inviting, open concept space. The only qualm I’d have, is the track is about half the size back home. By default, the river walk will have to do. As a bit of compensation, the school does provide me with three free meals a day. ...
