    ... lot of meat. Custard tarts for dessert and all washed down with traditional jasmine tea.

    In the afternoon I took the tram along to Causeway Bay, an area of the city with lots of shops as markets. There's also a horse racing track which is strange when you're surrounded by skyscrapers!

    ... controlled lighting on each floor. It even spelled out an ad about a smartphone app to hear the music that was accompanying the lights. I tried to download the app, but was unsuccessful.

    The lasers ended their displays after 15 minutes, but the rest of the lights continued on uninterrupted. Was this the extent of the promised light show? Maybe it was called off because of the weather. We never found out.

    ... in.\We walk back to the main road, Nathan Road, and cut through Tung Choi Street where there are a number of tropical fish shops which, like the flower shops, are a blaze of bright colours. We walk south along Nathan Road for the best part of half an hour feeling like an ant amongst the swarms of people cramming the pavements.
