... colony of Macau. We freely roamed past many cannons lined to the fortress walls. At 8:30 AM, we departed to do our challenge of climbing the Macau Tower. Although regular operating hours at the Macau Tower usually began at 11 AM, we called ahead of time and received free of charge permission to do our challenge at 9 AM.

The Tower Climb Express took 30 minutes to go up and 30 minutes to come ...

Our Canadian/American gang gathered at 8 am in front our hotel on Lanteau to catch a bus to the north part of the island. ... found out we should have been given tickets for the sampan. We went up the tram and then by escalators to the very top. This takes you to the highest point in Hong Kong and view is spectacular. There is audio to give info too. There are many shops and restaurants here but we avoided them. We went back down the tram to catch the green bus but the last one had gone so we had to go back on the red bus again. We complained about having to pay for sampan but then ...

... bridges over the canal, was like stepping into a different world. It also took us 20 minutes to find our way out which I think was intentional on the casinos part. They are currently building the Parisian casino which is going to be a mock up of Paris, will be a good place to visit in a couple of years when they've built everything, maybe a location for the next hangover film. That pretty much covers our Hong Kong exploits, Hanoi is our next stop so until then ta ...
