    ... a little over an hour, but from Texarkana area more like two hours, we decided to visit from here.     ... three loose wires. Guess over time they worked themselves loose and that did not allow the AC to come on. He reattached the wires, crimped them down and the AC worked very well. The air coming out still seems a little warm to me, but as the surrounding air cools, the air coming out gets cooler, so guess it's OK. So now we're back in the cool and it didn't cost an arm & leg.

    ... on 281 without stopping at Natty Flat. If you have never been there, it isn't much, but it is home to the world's largest cedar rocking chair. They also have an eating place which serves some very, very good BBQ brisket (not as good as Brian's, however). So after stretching, emptying and filling up, we were back on the road.

    Woke up to pounding rain. There is a hurricane going over us. We had planned to leave today. Rain and wind are so heavy we decided to stay another day.
