We stop at our first Cracker Barrel today for some lunch/dinner. Cracker Barrel is a country store and restaurant chain that is all over the U.S. They have good food at reasonable prices and usually have some neat things to pick up in their store. (Christmas is coming and I start now! Tee hee!)

Today started fairly cool and overcast as I made my way to the Rock Cafe in Stroud for a breakfast of cheese and bacon omelette, hash browns and pancakes and syrup. Built using rock left over from the paving of a Route 66 in the 1930s, the Rock Cafe suffered a devastating fire in 2008 and has been restored as faithfully as possible to the original. Luckily most of the outer structure held so that it still looks as it has done for more than 70 years. ...
