... Zealand, they seem to be in a similar style and made of the same materials. Apparently the average house price in Vancouver is over a million dollars! I don't think I'll get over the amount of space your money can buy you here. It seems excessive but I expect you'd soon get accustomed to having it. Everything is going to seem so small when we go home! We stopped to take a few pictures and then carried on our ...

          At Sea - Day 1

This is such a short little cruise that we decide to get up early to enjoy the whole day...get started early and make it a long day, you know. Un huh.

We finally got out of bed about 10:30 and when we left our room I had quite the wonderful surprise. There were balloons and a Princess "Happy Anniversary" poster on our door. WOW! That Jeff! In a panic, I said, "but it isn't our anniversary, is it? It's the 25th, right??" Yes, it is ...

... scenery of Banff and both the glacier national
park as we unfortunately only saw some glimpses of the icy peaks
through the clouds. One attraction we did manage to visit before
hitting the road again was Lake Louise which has a remarkable milky
          jade waters.

Our next stop was Vancouver Island. To
get from Banff to the ferry in Vancouver you follow the same road
west for 9 hours. A bit daunting when the sat-nav chirpy tells you
          that ...

Brief sojourn to Whistler first, a few hours up the road from Vancouver. Sit down next to a Kiwi on the bus, Candians think she Scottish or they can't understand her at all. Whistler is as thick with Aussies as the legends say, further proven by the availability of meat pies.

Lots of cloud and a bit of drizzle around. Not great. Go up the mountains anyway, probably worth it since I've hardly ever been around the snow I.e. I am easy ...

... to the station. At the station was a Scottish busker, who was elevated on extended legs with pumps on the bottom which appeared to be on cow hoofs. He was pumping as he sang and played - the best busker I have seen (until I see mixedupeverything!). We caught the sea bus from there and were given a lovely welcome home by Mikayla, dancing, clapping and cheering as we came in the ...
