... they will always love their ancestors.

We were getting pretty tired at this point and had 75 miles to go until we reached our hotel in Alliance, Nebraska. However, while on our way, we ran into CarHenge. What a site to behold! You will never see anything quite like it...

We are all tuckered out now and in bed, tomorrow is another early morning...next stop Gunnison, Colorado.

        Sweet dreams out there...

... and on to Chadron. Even with overcast skies and rain, the fields still have an amazing glow to them. I wish I could capture the beautiful tone of yellow - soybean fields - so rich and warm, almost alive. Nebraska is so different from where I drove across in Iowa - here it all looks smoother, definitely flatter, but also less crisply defined - almost blurry. And, dare I say, rather boring.

Oh, have I mentioned all ...

... This memorial has been in the process of being built since the 1940's, and is pretty much being done by one family.  While the face is complete, most of the work is still to be done. Next was Mount Rushmore.  This memorial was much smaller than Crazy Horse, but was complete. In fact, the Black Hills are sacred to the Indian, so the carving into Mount Rushmore was an insult to the ...

... all town is here tonight!
On our arrival to Alliance, discussion with the receptionist, because our room has no A/C, so they change us for another one with a great hole on the wall, where the A/C machine was supposed to be... No,no, change us the room again or we will call the police. Call to the general manager, and finally we get a nice room. I am tired and don't want to discuss any ...
