... bit of Wyoming we passed through was beautiful. After North Platte we didn't travel on the Interstate so we got to see a lot of small towns. The random dinosaur sculpture was on the side of the road.

After driving about 12 hours we stopped in Fort Collins for the night. After looking at the map we added the Stanley Hotel and Rocky Mountain State Park to the list of places to go.

Rained most of the morning. I took some back roads around the lake, and finally connected with Rt.20W, thru Sioux City, and on thru O'Neill, ...

A travel blog entry by kiwiplanner on Aug 12, 2012

After another sleep in we packed our gear up and headed out of Sturgis shortly after 10am. We were on our way through the Black Hills to see the Crazy Horse monument and Mount Rushmore.  We rode through Deadwood and Hill City on our way and both places were teeming with bikes, particularly Hill City, where we stopped for some food. We got to Crazy Horse and started our visit by watching ...

... all town is here tonight!
On our arrival to Alliance, discussion with the receptionist, because our room has no A/C, so they change us for another one with a great hole on the wall, where the A/C machine was supposed to be... No,no, change us the room again or we will call the police. Call to the general manager, and finally we get a nice room. I am tired and don't want to discuss any ...
