Glenwood Canyon Adventure Park

With Colby all fixed up we decided to stop at Glenwood Canyons Adventure Park on our way to Bogan Flats campground in Marble. This was truly a weird place. It is part Gondola ride, part cave tour, and part theme park all perched at the top of a mountain. The lunatics who designed this place took full advantage of the thousand foot cliff faces surrounding the park. It's supposedly haunted by several ghosts, and Jim Carrey was freaked out by the room he was in and left the hotel in the middle of the night.

... station for our liquid replenishment ritual (gas for the motorcycles and sports drink or water for ourselves) and, then, we proceed north on Rt. 13. There is nothing particularly interesting about Rt. 13; just miles and miles of open spaces and WIND.

Today was a driving day as we headed out of the Rockies to Glenwood Springs, still in Colorado. We got up early to see more snow had fallen overnight and settled on the foothills again adding to the dusting from yesterday. No run as the temperature was below zero and icy - joy! We decided instead to hit the road a little earlier than planned so after breakfast and coffee we set off for what turned out to be a jaw dropping drive.

The spectacular ...
