Arrived at Otter Creek campground this morning and will just stay overnight. Shortly after we arrived, Luke got loose and ran into dense woods chasing a squirrel. it took 30 minutes of traipsing into the woods to find him and catch him. Certainly gave us a scare. Spent this afternoon on a boat cruise along Pictured Rock National Shoreline. The colorful towering cliffs along the Lake Superior shoreline are amazing. At times it looks like a ...

... decadent. Took several road trips along the coastline with Robin and Steve and stopped at different sites of interest. Farmer's markets are terrific in this area-full of fresh vegetables, flowers, decadent baked items and local craftsmen. Picked up organic cherry bratwursts to try at some point during our trip. We toured the Door Peninsula on Thursday and agree that it is the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Much like the Cape, there are tourists ,galleries, quaint, but crowded, towns and little public access to the water. One surprise was the prevalence of cherry orchards. Of course we had to sample them and they were delicious. We had a wonderful brunch in bailey's harbor where we enjoyed eggs Benedict made with a whitefish cake . We left Maribel Fri. morning and had a beautiful ...

Its beach day.
We had planned a day at the beach. I pakced a picnic lunch and packed up the family. We had seen the MOST beautiful beaches East of here, so figured there HAD to be the same West of here.

We decided to head toward Escanaba. The highway traveled mostly right along the bays of Lake Michigan - Big Bay De Noc, Little Bay De Noc and Green Bay. ...
