As we had the first week off before beginning teaching,
Adrian, Christian, Katrin and I thought that it shouldn’t be wasted so we
packed up our bags and set off for Qingdao which is one of Shandong’s more
touristy destinations. Its also on the coast so theres was a beach there too.

Due to the fact that we currently live in the middle of
nowhere Adrian and I caught the town bus to Weifang and then met Christian and
        Katrin at ...

The five star hotel in Qingdao was right on the beach, with great views of both the mountains and the sea. When you are living out of a suitcase moving from city to city not being able to use a kitchen, the meals that you are provided become really important, the breakfast buffet in this hotel was absolutely incredible, I ate crispy bacon, baked beans, poached eggs with fresh watermelon juice every morning! The evening buffet was equally ...

The facility was fully handicapped accessible and though the workers did not speak English, they appeared whenever we hit a roadblock for the scooter and showed us the path to take. It was amazing how many different people ...

We’ll be at sea tonight and tomorrow, arriving in Shanghai at 9 p.m. tomorrow evening.

We like to take the galley (kitchen) tour when offered and always learn something new. Today we learned that over 100 people work in the galley and ...

Today we start with our usual scheme: 7-8-9 meaning rolling at 9 am. We are taking a bus to see the old city around the pier. The houses look similar to Europe. This town including the beer factory is built by Germans. After visiting the pier we go for lunch in the heritage restaurant in Jiang Ming Fan Zhaang where we enjoy the traditional music played alive in the place. During the lunch they are selling paintings ...
