    ... go Go Karting at home. They should be a real hit with Dean, Kasey and Travy next time we go.     ... been there before, but I had never driven all the way to the end of the road, which takes you to about 5 miles from the mountain. It was pretty impressive, and amazing that more people weren't killed when the volcano erupted.

    Tomorrow we'll try to get the brakes looked at, perhaps get Trixie groomed since she's starting to look like a sheep dog, and maybe hang out here another day or so, so that we can tour Portland.

    Oregon has the noisiest roads I’ve ever driven on. I don’t know what the deal is – maybe it has something to do with all the rain they get? – but the road surface is so loud it made the car vibrate and I couldn’t hear my radio.
