    ... present. It was surprising to see so many British Aircraft, including a rare Bristol Beaufighter. There was also a missile silo-like building housing quite a few rockets. Side exhibits included the Aviation Hall of Fame and a chance to fly a space shuttle simulator (which couldn’t be resisted)!

    The afternoon saw us at Carillon Historical Park, touring the many old buildings and exhibits in the 65 acre setting ...

    ... sorting though so many groceries to find what we needed. We invested in 2 food storage/prep items that worked really well for us-an electric Igloo cooler that plugged into our DC adapter in the van. We also purchased a converter so we could plug it in when we had electricity. This eliminated the need to be on constant search for ice and nothing was soggy!     ... the one site we could get to (Miamisburg Mound) and then decided to go antiquing!

    Miamisburg was a high mound that had obviously been used and built up many times. Another set of steps to the top that we did not take...informational board stated that the mound was cleared of brush each year during the spring, but it seems that funding might be running low for parks since the mound had not been cleared...
