... disoriented as we walked to the Paul Laurence Dunbar house (a poet and high school friend of the Wrights), stumbled into a massive car show at the Carillon Historical Park, and drove all the way across town to see the Huffman Prairie Flying Field. Along the way we caught glimpses of the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. All of it was mildly interesting, and yet nothing stands out.

We stayed one night in Amana, IA, toured and shopped in the Colonies, ate at the Ox Yoke Inn and the Ronneburg Restaurants. Drove across Iowa, Indiana and Illinois. Pretty quiet night! The tree frogs went until about 3am and then quieted down. The hiway sound is kind of like white noise...constant and fairly consistent. There is no construction and no reason for using Jake Brakes, so just the constant hum of engines and wheels on pavement. Today was a day of 'Wright's' or too many Wrights can be wrong...We left after what thought was rush hour in Dayton and went to Wright-Dunbar Interpretive ...

... far, Michigan and Ohio drivers all seem to want to be first...Yesterday, as we were driving around Detroit was a nail biter...people drive so fast and most don't use signals. Guess they got the discount cars that don't have signal lights! We typically don't travel on Interstates but we are headed for Dayton and want to have time to go see the museums that Ron has on his bucket list...All the Wright Brother Air museums... Had some fun in ...
