... four months with friends, jobs, and fun at my school's television station are things I know I will be thinking about often. I hope this blog also helps me be able to keep friends and family updated on the fun things going on in my life, and then actually get to tell everyone in person when I return home in January.
The next time I'll be posting will probably be once I arrive in Madrid.

... the lobby, motorcycle parked under security camera out front. Went to the gourmet grocery store next door. Had crusty bread, crab salad, and a huge can of Foster's beer for dinner. Nice hot shower, and I am a new woman.
475 miles today, easy miles.
Onward to mi casa tomorrow, hopefully. I haven't checked the weather forecast yet - still working on that can of Foster's!
We finished our last locks of the trip! Yahoo!
We stayed at the Troy public docks and walked the city area. It was hopping with many people beginning their weekend celebrations and lots of outdoor restaurants were full of diners enjoying the warm summer night.
... end of the guardrail was demolished. I asked if anyone needed first aid, and the other helpers said that everyone in the truck seemed to be OK, miraculously! They were just concerned about their two dogs, also in the U-Haul. So, away we went, continuing on our journey.
Smooth sailing until we got just north of Albany, NY. Rude drivers, tailgating; Larry was almost rear-ended. And my "eagle" ...
... closed so stopped at the Chocolate Barn. Best fudge we've ever had. It was made with brown sugar and walnuts and had a flavor similar to tablet (a Scottish fudge my grandmother used to make). Went to Bennington battle monument where there was a revolutionary war with the Americans and the British. Stopped for some groceries then back to camp for a nice dinner and yes...................too much wine!
