So, it took me way longer to get here than I wanted. So, I ended up running through the airport and barely making it to the gate. At least I am here and ready for the trip.. ... enough to drive down the road.. Good God. Thanks United for this early flight to San Francisco International.. My flight leaves at 5:25am and arrives at San Francisco by 6:00am. I will have a 7 hour, yes, you heard me right a 7 hour layover until my flight leaves at 13:30pm... Ouch!!! I better pack a bone or 2 for a snack! :-)
This morning, we headed off for Napa Valley - not going back on the same roads we came in on! Although the Lewis' like Sonoma Valley better, Napa Valley is more laid out for tourists, we thought, so that's where we planned to go. Next we continued walking along the rocks because we wanted to see where the two rivers actually met. There was a lot of white water as one of the forks was flowing pretty fast. At the confluence point we noticed a small little side pool that was a sanctuary from the current and decided to make that our home base for the kids to get in some swimming.
