    after that we walked on to a rather twee shopping area called seaport. it's all modern replicas of older buildings and full of chinese made gifts. we're having a real problem finding authentic us made gifts. turns out the usa is more dependant on the chinese than we are aware. they own a lot of the us govenment debt and appear to supply most of their consumer products. interesting.
