... south on US 77, stopping in Junction City, Kansas for fuel. We paid $3.27/gal and got over 10 mpg on that tank. From there, we hopped on I-70 W toward Abilene, Kansas to tour the Eisenhower Library and Museum. As we drove, I saw a sign that said we were also following the Chisholm Trail. I think five different trails converge in this area: Santa Fe, Oregon, Chisholm, Pony Express and California I believe.

Once again, Larry writes today.

Today we headed north to Wichita, KS. In contrast to the park in Thackerville, OK, the one in Wichita was pretty new. Lots of concrete, not much in the way of trees. It sorta felt like we were camping on an airport runway. Good laundry, showers, and restrooms. (Hey, those things are important!)

... tend to do when you have been married forever and ever Amen. We had passed many, many different denominations of churches that even though they were fairly small appeared to be doing well. We then talked about different belief systems, the effects of poverty on beliefs, the customs of different "flavors" of churches, and other social mores.
