    Greetings from Holt and the first day of Pearson and Emery's Summer vacation! How do we know......well no one (including the girl still in school) got up before 7am, they were both still sleeping at 10:13am and when they finally did make their way to the kitchen the first question was, "What's for breakfast?"

    So this is sort of a test....to see who might be paying attention and to see who might join us along the way.

    This is Jen writing today. It's been one week since Kirk went on Sabbatical. He's done lots of marathon training.....something like I think 40 miles this week! Thanks John Joss for rounding out his week by an 8 mile run on Saturday.

    It's May 31st and Kirk just finished his day at church! He is officially on Sabbatical until after Labor Day.     ... of the whole trip. It reminded me of our jeep trip, and because it was getting dark, there were fireflies everywhere, so when we drove up the wooded mountain, it looked like we were entering an enchanted fairytale forest with tiny fairies leading the way. I loved it!!

    We came back, ate dinner, and had pie because it was Sam's birthday. Then we went to sleep. Looking forward to NOT driving ...
