      ... was heaving! With no where to park we just drove along Scenic Drive which gave us a beautiful view of the beach. Back to the highway we had some miles to cover and time to make up.... We literally just spent all afternoon going down the coast... Which was incredible! The views out to sea and the landscapes we passed were out of this world... We couldn't not stop however along the way, either for some pictures to ensure memories last but also just to take in the surroundings. We ...

      ... seemed an appropriate name. After the long descent, there was a significant change in the scenery with flatter farmland to our left and accessible beaches on the right. Just off the side of the road, we saw some elephant seals playing around in a mini lagoon. A few miles on at a dedicated viewing area, we came across hundreds of young male elephant seals playing in the sea and lazing around on the sand. Quite a sight.       ... idea what to expect. We pulled up to the Visitor Centre, which is a pretty big building, and Jack asked if that was the castle. At the Visitor Centre, visitors can watch a 40 minute movie, depicting the life of William Randolph Hearst and the building of the castle. The movie was a great introduction to what we were going to see. We then had to take a 15 minute bus ride up to the castle, which we also learned was not the term Hearst ever gave the place. ...
