... live music, a hiker talent show, and a whole lot more. It pretty much sweeps up most of the hikers within a few hundred miles either direction of Damascus, and the town is completely overrun with hiker trash, so much so that they create an entire area called Tent City to house them all and run shuttle back and forth constantly. ... settled for ponchos, which we acquired for a dollar apiece at the dollar store.

After our exciting shopping spree, we went to dinner at a Yelp-Recommended BBQ joint called a Taste of Memphis. The food was pretty good and the decor was entertaining (check out the photos). We are six days from completing our cross country cycle trip and folks can't wait to finish. The recent days have been long and hard and everyone is in top physical condition so it should be a cakewalk. Well, that is not life and 65 miles each day IS a challenge. Today was 75 for most of us. Nevertheless, today started with a ...
