... to the brochure, we were due to go to one of Auckland’s great beaches next, which was in North Shore (coincidentally, where Craig lives). I’m sorry, but I’d spent the last month looking at beaches up and down the Australian coast and this was not even close to that standard. I would even go so far as to say that there were better beaches in the UK than this particular one. Another disappointment.

... Wiese vor der Bühne waren Neuseeländer auf ihren Picnic-Decken. Sehr gemütliche Stimmung. Gespielt haben wohl bekannte Bands, aber meist kannte ich nur den Song aus dem Radio. Gestern gegen Mittag bin ich bei angenehmen 23Grad C in Auckland angekommen. Ich habe ein tolles Hotel Zimmer gebucht bis Montag Morgen. Meine erste Erkundungstour hat sich auf einmal Queen Street rauf und runter laufen beschraenkt. Auf der Strasse hatte ich ein interessantes Gespraech mit einem Yogi-Juenger. Eine ganze halbe Stunde lang haben wir ueber unsere Ansichten diskutiert...spannend. Zu mehr als einem selber gekauften Dinner im Zimmer hat es nicht gereicht. ...
