Hocking Hills is near Logan, Ohio. The trip from Peoria to this area was flat and straight across the state. Arriving on the edge of Wayne National Forest I stopped at a Visitors center and picked up a map of the are. This is an amazing area with a wonderful story. The trail between Ash Cave and Old Man's cave is called the Grandma Gatewood Trail. She was quite the gal.

I tend to think of most towns in Ohio has being dominated by
factories but passed through two on the way, Lebanon and Wilmington, that had
very nice town centers with historic buildings, farmers markets taking place,
and bed and breakfast inns, a pleasant surprise. The route took me through the
