Day Eight - The Florida Panhandle
... interesting, older beach villages and then suburban shopping areas. After a three mile bridge, I was in Pensacola. I stopped at the Visitor Centre and they recommended a funky hotel within walking distance of the historic area. I watched some pelicans diving for their lunch, rode to the hotel to check in and then walked around the historic city. ...
Day before going home.. :(
... overeating.... and watched Indiana Jones... I hadnt see the Crystal Skull, so I stayed up and got about halfway through before I called it and crawled in bed... Nate and David had seen it, so they went to bed before me.... being the graceful butterfly that I am, I totally bust my ASS getting into bed... but somehow managed not to wake Nate.... I was out within 5 minutes... SO tired! It is A LOT of working being on vacation!

... and headed back to the condo to pre-game for going out. David had never been out to Splash Bar (one of two very tragic gay bars down in PCB... but the lesser of two evils)... so we made a pact to take him... its a right of passage... everyone has to go at least once. Every time we have gone, we have always walked away with fun stories... and this night was no different! They had two go go boys (per usual) dancing on the bar... and both were actually cute this time.. ...
Take me down to Panama City...
... it, but I had to go.... so I went... and them promptly cleaned myself in hand sanitizer... It was a hole in the wall, which was fun... not very crowded.... and right on the water. We got there just in time as a storm hit just as we were walking in. By the time we were finished, we were borderline food coma.... so we just went back and passed the hell out... its hard work being driven around all day. :)
