Last Day in Amish Country

A travel blog entry by buzzlog

Today is our last day in PA. as we head home to NH tomorrow. We drove over to Kauffman's Amish store today so that Bev could buy some baking supplies. Of course I had to shop too and bough some mini choc. chips, gingerbread mix, and candy. From there we headed to a quilt store where we thought there was some fabric, but she didn't have fabric..... …

Amish Day

Today we headed to the quilt fabric shops in Intercourse and Bird-In-Hand, Pa. The guys dropped us off at the fabric shops and we shopped and then they picked us up and we did some touring of the back roads of the farmlands to get a glimpse of the Amish people. I took quite a few pictures from the car as the Amish do not like to have their pictures …

Amish Country, YEAH

A travel blog entry by buzzlog

We left this morning heading to Amish Country in PA. Just love this area as there are lots of quilts to see and lots of fabric to feel and buy. Tomorrow that is supposed to be our day to shop, shop, shop for fabric. I think I'm going to feel like a kid in a candy store.

We had a very pleasant ride up Interstate 81 and then off onto Route …

To the West

In six weeks joan and I will be leaving on a tour of the western United States. We expect to be gone for four to five months. The coach comes out of storage on March 17, service and loading for the next week to so, then we are gone. On the road, ...

This inn is not a chain, which was nice for a change. It appears to be family room. The motel part which we stayed in was very very clean and the rooms were homey and comfortable. The lounge chair in the room was the most comfortable I have ever sat in for a hotel. Bathroom is quite small, but ok. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
