We left for our 5 week Western/Alaskan vacation today at 10:49 am and had an uneventful trip to Boonville , MO. We got to our hotel at 7:39 pm. It rained on & off for most of the trip. When we got to I-70 in Missouri the skies cleared and the sun setting in the west became a problem. We'll have to take that into account when we leave in the morning for Oakley, KS. I am funnier when I'm cranky
... Hey boys! We are only going 20 miles today and it's NOT raining'! Everyone cheers and the agony of pedaling 20 miles in blistering heat is easy to ignore. Kind of like me...for the last 9 years I have been able to wake up in the shittiest conditions and as long as I remind myself " at least I'm not pregnant and on bedrest!" anything is possible.
