    ... even the narrow verge of the road is mowed, with just a little strip of taller grass left wild. We are not seeing any creatures along the roadside and no sloughs here.
    On the way we come to Diefenbaker Lake, which is the South Saskatchewan River damed so it is broader than before. A little pull out affords a walk along a narrow stream, some beautiful grasses and a few trees and bushes for shade.

    ... beautiful diamond earrings that he let me open the night before, he also got me some sunglasses and a nice jumper that he picked out.
