Roxyhart's Traveler Profile
'May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.'
And that's exactly what I dream to find. Good madness. I hope to surprise myself by throwing caution to the wind & myself to the United States of America, & at least attempting to occasionally catalogue the result. I am going to miss you all terribly, and I don't doubt that someday I shall look back on these words and begin to miss myself terribly aswell. For I will never again be the person that I am right now. These last few weeks before I begin the rest of my life.
Though it shall be chock full of cliches such as this, as well as mundane stories about surely overrated landmarks, and those horrid tourist photos that are of absolutely no interest to anyone other than the traveler themself, I do hope you'll stick with me on this journey. It will be the easiest way to assure myself that I do still play a small part in your Australian lives.
Lots of love from the heart of Chicago,

I apologise for the lapse in entries. I'll let Italo Calvino make excuses for me this time. 'Perhaps I am afraid of losing Venice, if I speak of it, or perhaps, in speaking of other cities I h...
