About Ladyandtramp

Connie and Chris, a.k.a. Ladyandtramp, are retired school teachers who live two thirds of the year in a cottage on beautiful Lake Belwood, Ontario. During the other third of the year, they travel to new places, finding a house and town to use as a home base and then finding volunteer positions with small organizations with noble goals.

Most of their volunteering positions have focused around literacy and puppetry. Working to improve and nourish new libraries in countries where the idea of libraries is new, helping to develop literacy skills in children in extremely poor areas, and supporting fellow puppeteers and artists as they try to realize their dreams, have been their main goals.

Often they have been joined by their versative and talented travelling friends from the U.S. , Pat and Gail MacDonald, who they met in Zamora Michoacan, Mexico at the turn of the 21st Century.
