We love to travel as you can see. We have been doing so for nearly 40 years, first on camping trips to the National Parks of the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii; then into Canada and Mexico.  Then we started our international travels together in the early 1980's when we went on our first cruise through the Panama Canal.  Cruising, however, is not our favorite way to travel although since this time we have been on six more.   We love heading off independently on trips but in recent years, having gotten older and also traveling to more exotic locations,  have relied more on tours with our favorite tour companies: Overseas Adventure Travel and Gate 1 Travel.   We have managed to cross the globe many times having traveled to just under 100  countries and to every continent.   However, most of our blogs and pictures only go back as far as digital photography.  Before that we took thousands of slides, mostly in Europe but also in China, Japan,  Southeast Asia and the lands touched by our Panama cruise.  We really wish we would have been able to include these in our travel blogs but to do so would take some serious scanning and uploading which, as you will note, we've done only a bit of.

Besides travel we love reading about history and the different cultures of the world.  This has added to our enjoyment of our travels immensely. My husband is an ardent artist as well and many of the places we have visited have inspired his art. You can check this out on his website at http://www.georgedillonstudio.com. We also sell many of our photos on  istockphoto at  http://www.istockphoto.com.portfolio/judydillon#18fb6886
