Valdivia is one of the oldest cities in Chile and has a lot to see and do there. Unfortunately, owing to our night out in Pucon the day before, we only arrived in Valdivia at about 9pm and after a quick dinner at a local bar everyone went straight to bed! The hostel we stayed in there was very nice and the price of 5000 pesos (just under 5 quid)...

Wednesday 30th March 2005 Lots of travelling today - first the bus to Puerto Montt, then the bus to Valdivia. Bus terminal is a little out of town so I accept a touts kind invitation to drive me to her hostel, which is actually very nice.
