I went to Kaslo to see the Sternwheeler that used to bring the mail, supplies and people across Kootney Lake, before there were any roads or trains. Also, took a free ferry trip across this lake to see more of the scenery. Then I went to the Ainsworth Hot Springs for a dip in the mineral water! After all the days of camping-it was luxury!

Sorted myself out with someone to live....sharing a two-bed basement flat with a japanese lady. it's so good to have my own space but i'm not sure i'm ever going to get used to the smell of her eating soup at 8am. Banff, what can i say about this place. - 8 hour bus ride from Kelowna - HI hostel is jammed packed - And the people here are CRAZY ! We make it safely to Banff no thanks to the blizzard we hit on the way up...this is a slight exaggeration...but if your driving on the wrong side of the road it would be a blizzard to you too. Snow, snow, snow and more snow is what follows and get ready for our first night in -6 C. A week later and it hasn't gone above 0...gotta love Canada eh!!??
