... the halfway point of the trip and here I am now, wide awake, unable to fall back asleep, my butt quite numb. I <i>almost</i> caved in and bought an in-flight wifi pass, but quickly reconsidered, and decided to type instead. This trip is taking FOR-EV-ER. ... Going on Princess lines they have repeats of the love boat as an option in the stateroom tv. I never used to watch it, but somehow onboard it made sender so watched episode after episode.

Speaking of the cabin we headed to our allocated number but there were Japanese names on the door. It turned out we had been moved to an upgraded Mini Suite at the last minute. Its huge! We both love the ship. Some photos follow.

Climbing down Fuji was wet... very wet. It rained from start to finish without letting up for the 6 hrs it took to walk down. Lauren and I even prayed at a Shinto shrine to try and stop it... no luck. A long soak in the Onsen after the walk was the perfect reward though. The day after, we returned back to Tokyo and headed to the Pokemon centre, where everyone acted maturely and in no way let their inner child take over...At ...

... Where we rented a room and again it was all you can drink. Josh has permanently damaged the hearing of some listeners (though he feels he rocked gold digger). Lauren was her normal excellent but overly modest self. The next day was a hungover trek with 4 back to back trains to Mount Fuji.
