... Michigan, Lake Huron. We stopped in Munising along the 28 Highway to get some things to cook for dinner then we carried on along side Lake Superior where we found a nice scenic spot with a table so we could cook our dinner. There was a bit of fog hanging over the lake but it was still a beautiful evening.. We stopped for about an hour ...
Beautiful sunrise over the lake this morning in Paradise, MI. Left the hotel around 7am to head to the Berry Patch in Paradise as we were told they opened at 7am. We all pulled up in front of this tiny place, and the "closed" sign was still up. The Chamber of Commerce uses it for their offices, but that's about it. It's pretty sad. Today we crossed into the Central Time Zone. Just as we had finally gotten used to Eastern Time too. Tomorrow we're off the Duluth, MN. There is a very cool railroad museum there, so we expect to spend some time there before heading farther west. ...
Stopped to photograph a great mural that adorned a drape protecting a building under renovation, and discovered several other murals in the small town.
We carried on travelling through Superior Wisconsin and then to Duluth
MN. Just as we entered Superior we noticed a large billboard advertising
new Ford vehicles with a 20 year, 200,000 MILE warranty!! Unfortunately
we were past it before we thought of taking a picture. Wish that could
be in Canada.
... deer, pristine woods, peace. Untouched by man, no man made structure anywhere from lookout to Lake of the Clouds. Park road took us next to Lake Superior shoreline, got out of the car-really pretty-calm and clear, clean water. Both surprised that each time we saw Superior it was as calm as a mill pond (unlike Lake Michigan which was windy most all the time).
