... For those who are curious, I started this blog for family members and really, anyone else who wants to keep up with me while I go on this European adventure. I hope y'all enjoy reading it and I am sorry in advance if it is somewhat lacking. I will try to update as often as I can but I am kind of a noob at all of this blogging. Wish me luck!

Cheers, tea and crumpets, bits 'n bobs, and all of that poppycock

... mmm enchiladas. Then Evan and I went for a walk downtown and poked around the Alamo a few shops and along the river walk. Then we headed to the Shambhala Meditation Centre to practice together. Morgan met up with us at the centre and we went out for dinner. I tried fish and shrimp tacos quite good! Then a jazz band started playing so overall good food, good music and good conversation! I’m glad I made time to connect with friends ...

... hour traffic. We departed San Antonio, heading east across Texas, not a particularly inspiring landscape - but it reminded us of rural Australia, apart from the occasional oil drill! As we pulled into a town called Gonzales, Jenn found a Best Western Hotel where Chelsea, a young redhead, welcomed us with "Where y'all from?". I think we were her first Aussie visitors! After checking in, we headed out to the "Running M Bar and Grill" as recommended ...

Here we go again! For the last 5 years or so, Richard and I have taken turns choosing a destination for our summer location. This year was his choice and he wanted to go to Ireland. In researching this trip I decided to widen our itinerary to Great Britain (we'll visit England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland) and Ireland. The first half of the trip we'll sightsee via train and the second half we're boarding the Ruby Princess to take us to Scotland and ...

... My adventure aptly begins on New Year's Day. A new year, a new start. I am very excited to begin this new leg of my life's journey and hope that you will all join alongside me! When I lived in Beirut, I tried to write weekly entries. Hopefully with better internet access and a bit more free time than I had there, I will be able to update you all more frequently from France.

Love you all and thanks for each playing a role in my life! Enjoy!!
