OMGoodness, I just spent foreVer blogging about my day and when I went to find a picture to add, it all disappeared, I'm so tired there is no way I can retype or remember what I wrote. Uggg, here are the key words - Long drive LA truckers honk Texas ...
... Cafe. Their lunch special on Friday was fried catfish and shrimp with sweet potato fries. We topped it off with their bread pudding - the waiter thought it was a fabulous dish - but the bread pudding had raisins in it which is not my favorite. But they put on the side of the bread pudding fried bananas and caramelized nuts with a bit of ice cream that was just as good as the bread pudding!!!
Welcome to Texas y'all!! They say everything is bigger and better in Texas....and so it is....even the rain. It rained pretty much non stop after we crossed the border. Luckily we planned ahead and booked cabins to sleep in for the evening. The most comfortable nights sleep since Vegas. It was amazing. Kaitlin had told us about a country music gig featuring Billy Currington at the Cowboy Dance Hall and we all jumped at the chance to go. On the way, dinner ...
... hit the road by 1000 down I-45 for the 45 - 60 minute drive to the port terminal.
There are a couple of surprises in store for everyone, but I can’t tell you now because they reads the posts as well! You’ll be advised as they unfold I promise.

... millions of gallons of fresh, cold, spring water every day. We crossed the Lady Bird Johnson River several times and were very impressed with the great number of runners, bikers, hikers and other people out exercising and enjoying the beautiful day. Austin really gives off a vital, energetic vibe. It seemed like most of the downtown streets were being closed for one event or another, portable tents going up everywhere.
