... having signed us up for this craziness. Catherine expressed her fear more audibly, screaming at the top of her lungs for the last 40 feet of descent and by doing so, escaped the waterfall dunk by a mollified guide at the end. Though Sam descended with her, his constant encouraging chatter didn't provide much comfort. Eventually Catherine and Sam Jackson calmed down when they watched the others come down safely. The second "rappel" wasn't really a rappel at all, but rather a ...

    Ziplining

... in at the shoulders and lower back to "superman" across the valley. This was more fun, as you had plenty of time to check out the surroundings including the trees below swoosh past. Two bungee ropes are attached to your harness and you step off a platform ...

... Carlos and he was very passionate, extremely articulate, and very funny. He entertained us for two hours telling us about all of the animals and their relationship to the environment. They have both peccaries, the white collared which is the one we saw at La Selva and the white nosed which is very aggresive. They have a gland on their backs that they use to mark their territory. He squeezed it and a liquid shot up in the air and the smell ...

... So annoying as in queue at Costa Rica border girl got through with just shoeing proof of accommodation in Panama so felt totally conned and ripped off. Got of bus at Irma around 2.15 (set off at 8) then waited for 3pm local bus to Monteverde. Well that was an experience! Should have put trainers on for one! Bus kept getting stuck up hills, we had to all move to back of bus to help it get up. We were jumping up and down and by 6th time it got up and we ...
