... I was dripping sweat.
This trip I'm sure will have many surprising, amazing and serendipitous moments. And lucky moments. I met a friendly couple - Rich from the U.S. and Emily from Israel. They offered me papaya and then a ride to La Fortuna. The road around Lake Arenal to La Fortuna was bumpy. Well bumpy was an understatement. We couldn't go more than 20. I think my internal organs are still recovering. But we made it. Another day, another ...
... A hanging bridges tour and zip lining let us came closer to the higher levels of the forest. We overcame our fears and enjoyed the height and speed. At the frog pond we saw beautiful frogs.
So time passed really fast and we are curious how the Pacific Coast will be... Next stop: Montezuma.

... in the old days to carry coffee beans to be processed. The visit to El Traphice was very interesting and worthwhile. Its colder here in Monteverde and it rains quite a lot as well - just like Wales. Except for the bugs. The costa rican bugs have decided that they like me and Ive been bitten at least fifteen times on my arm even though Ive been using insect repellant. I had to visit the pharmacy today to get some antihistamine tablets and cream for the bites. ...
... As the enormity of what had transpired became clearer, a feeling I had never experienced overtook me. I raced to Vivian’s preschool to just hug her. The news had not reached the innocent halls of her school yet, and the sight of my tear-streaked face puzzled the staff. Vivian was busy painting a snowman, but she stopped to give me a big hug. I never wanted to let her go.
Something about that day made me realize that we can do everything ...
