the good news - i found roy (the artist) and he's coming tomorrow to the house to talk about painting a picture for me. yahoo...although i did not ask him how much it by tomorrow, this may be moved to the bad news column.

the bad news - the twirly toe-nailed dog is going to pass away while I am here. he has been very bad the past 3 days and he's been sleeping in the kitchen. reminds me of when chrissy ...

... t stop taking photos out of the widow. This is the first day all trip I've felt the need to do that - it was just so amazing. Arenal lake is a man made lake. It was flooded to generate hydroelectric power from a dam. 2 villages were flooded, and the people moved to safer ground. The lake sits just at the base of the towering Arenal volcano.
