the good news - i found roy (the artist) and he's coming tomorrow to the house to talk about painting a picture for me. yahoo...although i did not ask him how much it by tomorrow, this may be moved to the bad news column.

the bad news - the twirly toe-nailed dog is going to pass away while I am here. he has been very bad the past 3 days and he's been sleeping in the kitchen. reminds me of when chrissy ...

... town after we left Las Musas. oh god...3 months to go...

i went to "la oracion" on friday night at Nena's catholic church. and although i'm not catholic...i'm pretty sure this was much more "southern baptist revival" style service. there was a guitar player and four female singers at the front. all very nice...until they started the praying! holy maria...every tomas, pedro y pablo from the crowd wanted to get on ...

... tarantula, which are smaller than the females, and he was out prowling at night looking for a female. Well he certainly knew where to find females, just not the right kind. They released him behind the Butterfly Garden and we can only hope he had better luck finding a female that was more his type!

We are so appreciative of those who came to see us! It is a long journey to get here, and we are grateful we had the chance to share this special place with them.

... early. Glad we did, as we where the only ones there, and It was quite a trek down. I felt for Dan, who had to carry Luc on his shoulders..... but it was nothing compared to coming up..... that hurt!
Great scenic view, and such magical moment shared with my family. One I will not forget!
We stayed at this hotel for three nights. It felt good to get a break from the jungle for a few days and into some dryer climate too.
