... 30 different saxophones and 2 drummers. very interesting. it turns out...they have a saxophone the size of a tuba. who would have thunk it right? well, i put in a photo...cuz like the tuba, very large men play very large instruments. and this guy had a hot little girlfriend in the audience. it seems...chicks like men with big sax.

... 3 more classes. But a degree doesn't add up to much if...at the end...you don't feel comfortable speaking spanish out loud. For this reason, I accepted a scholarship to study at the University of Costa Rica and intern at the local hospital in San Ramon. This past Monday was the beginning.

All that said, I'm not sure how interesting this blog will be since I won't be traveling too much ...

Adventure in Monte Verde

... We saw 3 sloths sleeping high in the trees. After the tour we traveled on to our Hotel Cipreses in Monte Verde. As a group we walked to the town and had a typical Costa Rican meal in a small family run restaurant.
The plantation tour was very good and getting stuck on the road was part of the adventure. As Cindy says "Ya never know" It is always good to have Plan B.

... Arenal Volcano in 1968. Now it is a trendy tourist town, which we were all too happy to capitalize upon. We enjoyed the Chocolataria, the supermercado, and the artisans selling their handmade wares, from hammocks to jewelry. We even got to pet a friendly hombre´s chocolate lab puppy in the park, each of us trying to fill the void left from missing our own canine kisses back home.
