the good news - i found roy (the artist) and he's coming tomorrow to the house to talk about painting a picture for me. yahoo...although i did not ask him how much it by tomorrow, this may be moved to the bad news column.

the bad news - the twirly toe-nailed dog is going to pass away while I am here. he has been very bad the past 3 days and he's been sleeping in the kitchen. reminds me of when chrissy ...

... town after we left Las Musas. oh god...3 months to go...

i went to "la oracion" on friday night at Nena's catholic church. and although i'm not catholic...i'm pretty sure this was much more "southern baptist revival" style service. there was a guitar player and four female singers at the front. all very nice...until they started the praying! holy maria...every tomas, pedro y pablo from the crowd wanted to get on ...

... a reservoir for a hydroelectric dam. We had never tried SUP before so we were pretty excited. There was also one other guy from our group joining us to kayak so there was only three of us and our guide. After our guide showed us the basics, we got to try it out. It wasn't as hard as I was expecting which made me immediately like it a lot. We were both standing and paddling on our first try. It was pretty stable so we could get right into it without worrying ...

... 470 feet (143 metres!) Crazy? crazy. Then, while you're hanging upside down and your heart racing 10,000 beats per second, you're supposed to catch the next rope they throw down and harness it to you so they can help hoist you back up. But hey, I DID IT! It's done. Another off my list! Too bad the photos and videos are in a CD and I'm not able to read it with my laptop. Boo!
