The End of the Road at the Bottom of Copper Canyon

Over the hill and back out of the canyons
Well I successfully made it up and down the canyons and am now back safe and sound in Creel. To call it a hike would be like calling an aircraft carrier a boat. It didnīt start out all that bad and most of the path was fairly clear but once we got about 3,000 feet up the path got incredibly steep and rocky, like a 45 degree creek bed. The way back down was barely fit for a goat.

Breathtaking scenery

Apparently a combination of the recession, Mexican flu and the American paranoia of terrorism has caused an 80% reduction in tourism for Mexico - it must be a crippling blow, but selfishly, for us, it makes our journey easier and far more enjoyable.
