Undara Lava Tubes
8/9/13, Undara 10:30 am was a good time to take the Undara Lava Tubes tour, not too hot. A Swiss girl was our guide, and she made the 190,000 year old volcanic lava tube formations come to life. The photos do not do them justice, they are huge and the longest in the world. The amazing way they were formed, by multiple eruptions sending the lava …
DAY 214 - MOUNT GARNET TO UNDARA - LAVA TUBES
We had enjoyed peace and quiet overnight as promised and woke up refreshed. After brekky we hit the highway and drove for about an hour to the Undara Volcanic National Park where we intended to stay tonight and also to see the lava tubes. It was about 15 kilometres off the main highway through bushland. It is advertised as being the accessible …
Words can't begin to describe this!
The park at Undara abounds in natural wildlife, has a range of accommodation styles (we were caravanning) , great bar and bistro, information centre, well marked trails and overall excellent facilities. The price at first seemed a little high compared to other parks but the experience was unique and well worth every cent!! We did the Archway tour …
Nach Norden ins Vulkangebiet

The park abounds in natural wildlife, has a range of accommodation styles (we were caravanning) , great bar and bistro, information centre, wellmarkedwalks and overall excellent facilities. The price at first seemed a little high compared to other parks but the experience was unique and well worth every cent!! We did the Arhway tour at $52 for two hours, our guide Bram was exceptional and his obvious love and passion for the country and its features helped make this an informative, unique and quite frankly almost overwhelming experience. The cost was the best value for money of the trip so far though it is hard to appreciate that till after the event. It was like stepping into another dimension somewhere between Tolkien's Middle Earth and The Land Time Forgot! Don't miss it ifyouhave a chance to got here!
