Amazing experience to sleep in the old train carriages and wake to the bird calls.
The walks and tours to the lava tubes were spectacular.

Absolutely fantastic experience here - would recommend it to anyone. Friendly helpful staff, amazing setting, wonderful walks and views to die for. The organised tour through the lava tubes was incredible and well worth the cost. Definitely go!!

Lovely caravan park although very confusing set out. Bush setting, wildlife. Lovely clean amenities (altho if you must have shower curtains, why use white ones? A bit of bleach, people!)

This was an amazing place with friendly and helpful staff. Despite being there during the off season, we were pleasantly surprised by the options available to us. Highly recommend this experience.

The camp as very nice, with clean amenities. Very busy, had to have unpowered as no powered sites available. Dusty, but it was bush camping. $12.00/head forunpowered.

The park abounds in natural wildlife, has a range of accommodation styles (we were caravanning) , great bar and bistro, information centre, wellmarkedwalks and overall excellent facilities. The price at first seemed a little high compared to other parks but the experience was unique and well worth every cent!! We did the Arhway tour at $52 for two hours, our guide Bram was exceptional and his obvious love and passion for the country and its features helped make this an informative, unique and quite frankly almost overwhelming experience. The cost was the best value for money of the trip so far though it is hard to appreciate that till after the event. It was like stepping into another dimension somewhere between Tolkien's Middle Earth and The Land Time Forgot! Don't miss it ifyouhave a chance to got here!

We were up early to join in the bush breakfast..
The breakfast was cooked by a Dorris who was as mad as a cut snake.
She had spent many years as cook on droving teams.
She had a marvelous turn of phrase with no airs or graces..
It would have been worth going there just to listen to her..

We had an early start as we were off to see the lava tubes at Undara.
But all good trips are undertaken on a full stomach so CJ was dispatched to the first bakery we came across and returned with coffee and danishes, a fitting breakfast..

As we left Cairns the mist and drizzle were reminiscent of Ireland..

We picked up the camper this morning. If I said it was a disappointment I’d be lying; it’s pure skank. This is 8 years old with 450,000 miles on the clock, dirty, nothing working and we’d had to upgrade to a bigger one which unfortunately came with a loo and …

We arrived in Undara early to get on the tour we booked for 10:30. The Undara Experience is advertised as "Outback Australia" and it did not disappoint. There was not a blade of green grass to be seen anywhere, the sun was streaming down and there was not a hint of a breeze. We were at Undara to see historical lava tubes and also we just needed …

Let’s talk education: Boys have been completing some school work, although mostly this is done first thing in the morning in the car whilst travelling from one destination to the next. This consists mainly of Spelling and Maths, then writing when we stop somewhere.
