Lovely caravan park although very confusing set out. Bush setting, wildlife. Lovely clean amenities (altho if you must have shower curtains, why use white ones? A bit of bleach, people!)

The camp as very nice, with clean amenities. Very busy, had to have unpowered as no powered sites available. Dusty, but it was bush camping. $12.00/head forunpowered.

The park abounds in natural wildlife, has a range of accommodation styles (we were caravanning) , great bar and bistro, information centre, wellmarkedwalks and overall excellent facilities. The price at first seemed a little high compared to other parks but the experience was unique and well worth every cent!! We did the Arhway tour at $52 for two hours, our guide Bram was exceptional and his obvious love and passion for the country and its features helped make this an informative, unique and quite frankly almost overwhelming experience. The cost was the best value for money of the trip so far though it is hard to appreciate that till after the event. It was like stepping into another dimension somewhere between Tolkien's Middle Earth and The Land Time Forgot! Don't miss it ifyouhave a chance to got here!

A very short trip to Undara and an easy set up as we weren't tired after a long drive. We walked a little around the park and checked out the Fettler's Iron Pot Bistro a fully licensed bistro. It is laid out beautifully with seating for probably 200 people. It is surrounded by old Railway carriages some of which have tables and chairs in them. …

Philip has said, after visiting here a few years ago that he would never go back there and it was a waste of time, but here we are travelling to the Lava Tubes. On the road around 8:50 heading for Undara. Back tracked along the Burke Development Road almost to Almaden. Road south towards Mt Surprise and Mt Garnet is the Savannah Way alternate route and is mostly good gravel. Not a lot of traffic. Undara is about 200 kms from Chillagoe. At the Y junction we opted to go to the Kennedy Highway rather than …

Bush breakfast is served down the track a bit. Make your own toast over the coals in the fire. Sit on logs and use stump for a table. Cereal and fresh fruit -4 different fruits, plus hot foods of baked beans, little sausages, bacon, fried eggs however you want them. Spreads for toast. Percolated coffee and billy tea.
