Beaches of South Africa - South & North Coast
... I was lucky to see a ‘lowry’, a beautiful grey/black bird with bright red on its wings as they spread out to fly. Also saw duiker and zebras. My Drakensberg Trip
... one on suite, and one bedroom in the 'loft'. As I am the youngest I was put in the loft and as I lay on my bed and looked up into the thatch roof and black wooden poles I was reminded of my childhood on our farm outside Pretoria where we lived in thatched rondavels. The dining room table was set with serviettes, wine glasses etc. Our verandah had a magnificent view of the mountains (see pictures).
