... right up to us. Got some terrific pictures. One stood up to a buggy near us but we haven't had one do that to us yet. You have too be very quiet when they approach and the sound of a window be opened will scare them off. We are constantly reminding ourselves where we are - out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by polar bears. The company we are with is the only one liicensed to come to Cape Churchill. ... broke up and settled down a fair bit. The sun even managed to peek through for an hour or so!

Four of our tour group had booked a helicopter flight for day 1 but that never eventuated as we had a massive snow storm back then too....so it was organised for the helicopter to come meet the buggy and pick up the four passengers while the rest of us made our way back to the launch.

Day 6

Today started around 6:30am, getting showered, changed, breakfast in the dining car, some light banter as to what we are hoping to see out on the tundra then a final packing of the camera bag then out to our tundra buggy for the day.
