... carved by water full of greenery and then they row you into these tiny tunnels where a canoe can barely fit down. You have to lay on your back just to dodge the jaggered rocks above your head. Some tunnels were lit by lights and others were pitch black! The rower never crashed once. The sunshine was beautiful until monsoon decided to begin! ... we have seen and learnt in such a short time. The homestay family have just treated us to a musical performance – singing some traditional songs accompanied by a Mekong instrument called a don co. Certainly an interesting cultural experience! Now we are spending the last hour of the evening relaxing, having a shower and preparing for tomorrow – another full on day of activities and learning and, of course, the beginning of our house building experience. Bring it ...
