    ... side the Blue River though. The hike down on the Blue River was so swampy and muddy that it drained us completely. The trail had an impressive amount of wildlife, but that may be due to the lack of people using it. The 2 hour ride home was tough as well.

    Great park and I want to try and go do it all again.

    Day 1 started off at 8:00 AM after our morning rituals. Our plan was to hike as many miles as we could, but to stop at a shelter. It had been raining most of this month and last month so the trail was muddy and had plenty of creek crossings, even though every review I read stated the creek crossing were dried up.     ... the resort, we walked into the Casino. It wasn't very busy. But we didn't stay very long - we probably were there for all of 20 minutes, sharing $5 on the nickle slot.

    After that we headed over the main dining room in West Baden, Sinclair's. But we found it closed. So we are ate 'alfresco' in the atrium at Ballard's.

    We got home about 6:15 pm. A really nice afternoon, and we're both still just too full to even think about ...
