... itself as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. It is quite different to Exmouth and has much more character and interesting streets. The town is centred around a man made harbour for boats. This was once a busy port, but only has fishing and pleasure craft now. Plenty of fishing and diving trips from here. The beach alongside the harbour is sandy and wide and very impressive for England. Usual array of deck chairs, umbrellas and cabins for hire. Next beach was shingle, but ...

St Austall to Brixham

After leaving St Austall we headed for Fowey which is such a gorgeous village at the mouth of the river. And last but most definitely not least Granny and Grandpa in Topsham, who not for the first ...

... was quite dark in this narrow, deep cut section, and quite aptly named. This would have to be one of England's hidden treasures and well worth a visit. Superb! The roads we went on today will be ones the cyclists in the Tour of Britain ride on on Thursday. Headed home along the road that continued along the edge of Dartmoor, but it was mostly farmland with some forested areas in the north, but no more dramatic high open moors and tors that we had seen this morning. All in all, a great ...

... Just cannot wait to get to Spain and get a permanent home sorted. We have a temporary base for a week or two but ideally want to get a tenancy signed within the next week or two! Some people have screwed their faces up when we've said were going with nowhere to live but apparently this is the way to do it! We will ...
