Day 21 11/1 Hairy flight into Telluride, lucky to get there as snowing in Denver,
lovely dinner for my birthday at New Sheridan

Day 22 12/1 Checked into house, picked up season pass, all the others arrived, watched Denver lose the playoff.
Struggling with altitude, had a headache for a couple of days

Day 23 13/1 First day skiing, extremely cold, only out for a few hours, groomers are ok, many tree runs are closed, needs snow.

... so gave the springs a miss). From here we took the 4 wheel drive Ophir Mountain Pass road which is only open a few months of the year and whoh it was scary being very narrow, rough & steep in most parts. I was glad to get to the bottom, James thought it was fun, but I did notice he had a very firm grip on the steering wheel.

... wanted to ever since I learned about them last year! My dad made a U-turn (he has gotten pretty good at those, because he usually has to turn around for stuff we have passed), and pulled over on the side of the road so we could get a picture. After that, the drive home was fairly uneventful.

This was an amazing trip, and I loved every second of it! Jeeps, wildflowers, and scenic views. What could be better!?
