The weather was unusually damp for this time of year. Sporadic rain showers popped up throughout the day so you had to be prepared. Teresa, Bill, Jim and I decided to hike Bear creek trail this morning despite the weather. When we finished 3 hours later we had climbed 2800 feet and had gone 9 miles. We arrived at the airport about 10:30am and there was nobody in line to check in for American Airlines so I checked right in. Being a small airport, security only opens a certain amount of time prior to a flight taking off, so it was about 11:15am before the security checkpoint opened. Ouray has (24) historic buildings that were built in the late 1800s. These buildings were well preserved and all in use today.
