... We expected to find lovely campsites on or near the beaches like Oregon & California & imagined sitting in the sun a lot more than we did!! Surprise, surprise it rains in the Sunshine State!! We were disappointed to find very few State Parks with camping & there was no chance of getting in because they book up 11 months ahead! Any Parks we did visit had a $6 day use fee which we found annoying when we only wanted to stop for lunch or quick walk & ...

We then drove into Fort Walton Beach looking for what they call their historical district, but never found what we would want to get out and ...

We also hit a lot of rain to the point where I could hardly see where I was going. It was bad. I was glad to make it home safe and sound after white knuckling the steering wheel for hours.
