Arrived Ketchikan at 6am. We have booked an excursion that leaves at 7.20 to go Halibut fishing. And it is freezing cold and raining, not to be deterred we donned oilskins, overalls and jackets, and gumboots. Away we went in rough water, bouncing along, yours truly, Mike, Jim (California), Charlie and Chris (Tampa, Florida). It was so cold that I even had to put on a beanie. Approx 600 cruise ships come here ever summer. The season lasts for 20 weeks so that is quite a few boats each day. Today there are 4 boats in. We walked along ...

We slept in some, waking to a typical Ketchikan day - rain. Had breakfast and showered, and listened to it rain some more. Miss Pats medicine did not show up last night, so she talked to Becky and the RV park for a forwarding plan. TV was boring, but I worked some more on my red diamond shawl! Finally, the rain let up, and we hurried out to pack up camp. After I doused myself with the water faucet and changed pants, we were ready for our last ...
