Spent a few hours hiking through the forest next to the Lodge, before heading down to Breckenridge and wandered around the town.
The morning starts off with another hike into the forest. Then its time for my friend Gerry to arrive from Cleveland Ohio.
These days are spent sightseeing in the car. Bonus was seeing a mother moose very close to the Lodge.
Tomorrow we begin our adventure to the west coast
... on the other Loveland base (Loveland Valley). We were skiing on Loveland Basin. So we decided to connect at the bottom of Loveland Basin. As they were skiing down to the base - Vienne lost control and went into the trees and hit a tree head on. The ski patrol had to get her out of the trees as she suffered a concussion. They took her via ambulance all the way back to the Denver children's hospital in Aurora. ...
... the Mountain Manhattan and Kelly had the White Hot Martini. We ordered starters - escargot, lamb tandoori, and potatoe chips with blue cheese and chives. Watched the Riviera golf tournament for a bit, talked to a bartender who used to live in Austin, and generally had a great time. Walked back to the condo, then watched the Oscars (not so great).

Back to breakfast at Park and Main - another great breakfast sandwich ...
... but it was still fun. That bar is usually quiet during the day and there was only one barman. But with the game on, and the rough weather outside, it was full of people ordering drinks and food left, right and centre. The barman took everything in his stride, clearing tables, taking our orders around the room, as well as serving from behind the bar. Today we woke up ready to roll. We made it to the lift right when it opened at 9am and were some of the first people to make it onto the trails. The weather was much better than Monday; sun shining and no snow falling. We ventured out to peak 9 and tried out some blues.
