... two bedroom cabin had all the amenities, idyllic setting and not another soul to be seen or heard. It even had TWO hottubs! Saturday we had a lazy morning and took off to the villages nearby. A couple of little craft shops and a wander around a homecraft festival was interrupted by a 5 minute rain shower, and we took off to sample the local vineyards 'produce', which was lovely (and free!). lunch ...

... properties for sale and I can still only 400K for an empty lot on the lake. And of course I found my favorite cemetery yet (ok not including the coonhound cemetery). Just a mile down the road from the lake house is a tiny little cemetery with just a few rows of headstones. What amazed me was the grave of Elizabeth Eller who lived 1827-1922. ... in Atlanta. This is one big place with lots of highways going off to the left and right. After some stressful u turns we finally got onto the right track.

This place is beautiful. Surrounded by forest and bushland and is quiet and peaceful. Another dinner of smoked chicken on the grill with beans and salads was yummy. Their families were very nice and showed us the southern hospitality that we have experienced since being here.

The trail from the parking lot is about a half-mile and paved and made for a very scenic walk along Smith Creek with numerous small cascades along the way.
