    The canal's current zipped us right out to the Delaware Bay where we spent our afternoon into the evening traveling to the Bay's entrance. Of course the closer we got to the ocean, the higher and choppier the waves got as it seemed all those thunderstorms rolling across land were chasing us out to sea. ...

    ... the shops are all individually owned -many have a taster tray out front of their shops offering samples of the goodies they are selling (fudge. sweets etc ) to try and tempt the passing trade inside.
    Sunday morning and our last day, meeting our homexchange hosts, Margaret and Tim, for breakfast at a seaside café. Great food and great company - looking forward to repaying their hospitality ...

    10'x15'... the past 5 years, 2 bedrooms and 4 floors of our home is now crammed into a one cinder-block cell, the mail has been stopped (doubt I'll miss it) and tenants who will be kindly paying our mortgage for the next 12months are now moved in and we're officially "homeless".
    Bethany Beach is where we'll be calling home for the next few weeks, until we jump out on the road at the end of July.

    I could think of worse places to lay-low for awhile.

    ... our NZ friends will catch up with them, when they exchange in our home October 2015. Now I am not an icecream person, however we again just happened to pass by the frozen custard shop in the village last evening- oh boy ! their caramel, frozen custard is
    "to die for"...Garry thinks this is okay as NOT real cream - so we will see. No sign of his recurrent gout YET.

    ... path through the wetlands. Was pretty funny the amount of people who got to the entry of the lighthouse and exclaimed ' I can't believe there's no elevator!' Back at Wildwoods we went for a walk along the boardwalk which was very similar to atlantic city with stalls of food, t-shirts and arcade games.
